This fly-in/
fly-out tour of the heart of Tibet follows a circular route
from Tsetang to Lhasa, exploring the Yarlung Tsangpo valley,
craddle of the Tibetan civilization. We begin our journey
exploring the Yarlung Tsangpo valley with a ferry ride
across the Tsangpo river to visit Samye, the oldest
monastery to the Red Hat School. Then, on to Yongbulakhang,
the first castle build for Tibetan King overlooking a
fertile agricultural valley and tombs of the Tibetan kings,
from the seventh centuary; and then proceeding on the
southern route via the Yamdroktso, the turquoise lake, to
Gyantse and Shigatse we take the northern route through the
scenic, rugged countryside of nomads, culminating our
journey in the comforts of Himalaya Hotel, Lhasa |
